I have a conference calling service that provides local numbers nationally and internationally for our private, one-on-one coaching sessions. HOW DO I SUBMIT PAYMENT?
Payments and invoicing are facilitated by my PayPal Business Account and arranged via email.
IS LIFE COACHING THE SAME AS COUNSELLING?
Although the benefits and successes of the Life Coaching profession are shown in improved lives, it is not the same as counselling. Life Coaching deals with present and future. Counselling/psychiatry/psychology deals with the past: behavioural therapy, psychological, and emotional patterns, coping, and mental health. Life Coaching competencies and certifications exist through the International Coaching Federation and its accredited schools, such as the Christian Coach Institute . Counselling is conducted by licensed and regulated professionals with university degrees. Life Coaching is not yet a regulated industry and discernment/knowledge in selecting a Life Coach is recommended, as there are many who have called themselves a life coach, but in fact are not "coaching" by true definition, however the success of Life Coaches and the happiness of their clients are the litmus test of a gifted and effective Life Coach.
1. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, advice giving, mental healthcare, or treatment for substance
abuse or any addictive behavior. The coach is not functioning as a licensed mental health professional,
therapist or counselor, and coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric
interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice,
financial assistance, legal counsel,
or other professional services.
2. Coaching is for people who are basically well adjusted, emotionally healthy, functioning fairly
effectively, and wanting to make improvements in their lives.
3. Coaching is designed to address issues the person being coached would like to consider. These
could include (but are not limited to) personal foundation, career development, relationship
enhancement, spiritual growth, healthy lifestyle management, life balance, decision-making, and
achieving short-term or long-term goals.
